Ch 4 – 14 – Rose’s Single

In the rough draft Rose and Caesar’s interaction were almost none, especially those that talks about their personal life.

Although I removed all of Rose’s sub plot with her supposed special power over animals in this final draft I did elaborate about her personal life.  I think this is a good change as there’s enough supernatural elements in this comic.  I wanted to make Caesar and Rose as human as possible.

Guys, she’s single.

    I like Rose, although I know she’s just a background supporting character I think it’s cool that you elaborate so much on them (background characters). Usually we’re just given the basics and left with that, while that’s totally fine I always wonder what’s going on in their own lives. I mean, myself as a writer go into a good deal of detail about every character, even though it may not be relevant- I think it’s like getting to know a person then writing a summary about them. You know? Maybe I’m overthinking this (probably am :3) but I think it’s pretty awesome for you to add this in. :D Plus the lighting and colours for this page is really nice :3

      Actually I agree completely, it’s nice ot be able to further understand even the background characters who’s roles are minor yet so important to the overall flow of the story for without the background characters it would just be a play where they are just the little nobodies who everyone forgets due to not know who they were……*thinks about personal status as a wall flower….*

        Thank you Sanu! I will definitely keep these in mind as I write the future pages and get into the other characters more :) I have been a writer that tends of focus on what happens and less on who they are and how events effects a character. I will try to do more of that and would love pointers along the way from you guys :D

Meants a lot of hear that from a fellow writer :D Sometimes we create a elaborate back story of characters that never gets told and sometimes that’s kind of sad XD I hope to fix all of that in the future pages, include a little more insight into all the characters! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

    Good to hear about the changes you made Dina. Although I can see why you Dropped Rose’s powers – I think that plot point never reared its head after the chapter it was brought up in.

    Oh. Right.

    And once again I forget that Rose and Caesar are aunt and nephew, not sister and brother >__<

    And no, I didn't deliberately try to make a Ten X Rose reference. It just happened. Ten was nice but I liked Eleven better (as Eleven's personality and mannerisms and mine are basically carbon copies of each other). But that neither here nor there. This is a Pandect Community and we are on Twelve now. Let us moved on.

      yeah i think I was going to do something about that but I rather just focus on the Aces dynamics and issues with the Serpents since I never really got around to it in the rough draft after many chapters LOL

      As for her age, I will reveal it in the next page X3 she’s older than she looks!

    I love Rose after Caesar in the human ranking of fav. Not that there are many human in the story anyway. The ace are all have such a unique hairstyle but the human have a nice hairstyle too. I mean I love Rose and Caesar hair. They look so nice. I just notice, in the colored on, that Caesar and Rose have some similarity in their hair style. Colors perhaps?

      Thanks! I think it is the hair color, I did choose to have both of them as a brunette XD In the rough draft I think I had Rose’s hair as light pink or light purple, but I changed that to a more earthly tone for the final book.

    I love the Rose revealed in this page. I absolutely adore her. Can we be best friends?
    Let’s lament the idea of having to get married and start a family after we get a degree.

    I really do love this look into their relationship and particularly their personal history. Older people are my soft spot, so I have to ask: are we ever going to meet Mom/Grandma? Or at least hear more about her? She sounds like a pushy older lady that may be made to think differently if convinced.
