Ch 4 – 23 – I Need Gladiators

Thank you all for visiting me at Animenext!  I had such a good time at this con! It was such a surprise to see some of you guys again! Met a few people I haven’t seen since I stopped going to Otakon in 2010? Can’t remember but looooong time!

Also check out my awesome neighbors DemiDesignz who has been reading Pandect since rough draft in 2004!  So nice seeing you guys! They made Pandect dolls, which I will feature when those characters make their appearance.

Fleance face be like “I don’t wanna”

  • Shiro-Kuroi Minamoto

And this is why I love Fleance because under his stone Cold exterior it’s obvious that he cares for others a lot or at least that’s what I think from reading this and the drafts

I’m so happy this part of Fleance came through on both versions!!! :D

Fleance doesn’t look to happy about asking prince Titus about getting gladiators

Ice is definitely smarter than he sometimes acts, he’d be cool as a big brother :)
I can’t tell if it’s a question of Fleances pride as the judge prince…

    • Morbidprince

You’re right, there is a bit of that! But more on that later XD

Absolute annoying pedantry: I think panel 2, first dialogue, would be more idiomatic with “hand” pluralised – I’ve not heard “on my hand” but have heard “on my hands”.

Thanks for the work on the comic!

    • Morbidprince

Not at all!! I’ll fix it as soon as I get the chance! Thanks so much! :D

Demand someone else’s gladiators and you get their presence, not their loyalty. Demand Someone else’s anything, and then need to judge them? Lose your impartiality.

    • Morbidprince

Couldn’t have said it better myself :D

  • kymyit

Ooooh >_< he's so gentle and care for them!
    Great work!!

  • God, why is Ice so damn pretty?

  • Onyx

*sighs* Ice, you can demand a person’s presence but you can’t force their loyalty, plus the fact that it’s also somebody else’s gladiators he would be asking for and this is between two royal Aces (+ more politics, ‘n things). If one’s fighters aren’t into it and devoted then you can’t really trust them to follow orders.
