Don’t you hate it when someone interrupts your thinking?

First Panel: Is it supposed to say fuse, fused, or fuses?  If it’s not too much trouble, can you also explain why? Sorry English is not my mother tongue so I’m still learning.  And when I learn from my readers i remember better.  I thank you in advance for helping me out! I haven’t let any of my editors gone through these pages yet as book 2 is not done. ^^;;;

The Angler fish is one of the most interesting and amazing fish.  Probably holding the world’s strangest mating ritual in the Animal Kingdom.

One female Angler fish can have several mates attached to her permanently.  If you’re interested in knowing more about the Angler fish, you may find this useful.
Edit: Also check out this little comic, suggested by my little cousin, which made my day!

No Caesar, if you really think about it, you don’t want to find mates in any way similar to how the Angler fish does it.

    It (singular) fuses. They (plural) fuse. They fused (already happened/past tense). Hope that makes sense!

    It’s “fuse,” because verbs are kinda backward from nouns. If the things doing the action are plural, generally the verb to match it has no “s” on it. So bodies fuse, one body fuses (to something else).

    That oatmeal comic first introduced me to the angler fish when it originally came out. I’m split between the female angler being the baddest female type in the sea and one of the top 10 most terrifying creatures ever. Probably the latter. It’s also why I’m somewhat afraid of deep-sea exploration. What ELSE lurks in the deep, deep, sea? I bet not a singing crab or even a sea witch trying to steal voices.
