Although it takes 4 times longer to do these pages in color (every page is a test on my patience), and the fact that I hate coloring (I’m a paint by number type of person if you can’t tell). I do enjoy the end result of this page and most of the pages so far.

I also hate doing backgrounds but I love creating atmosphere.  So I tend to use my background more like a tool to convey a feeling or set up some type of mood than just describing a setting.

Please give love to: Lost & Taken for the grunge texture, and nathradas of DA for the bloody brushes used for the splatter and painting in the grass field.

        Yup. Depending on when the dog last had a bath, I can get away with petting them for a while. The licks and drool have a quick reaction time though >__>;;

      I agree! I was somewhat shocked when i looked up references for these traps most of my references are of brand new ones. I was hoping I find old antiques

    Edgar is the most sweet person(animal?) I ever seen. His care for Fleance is so wonderful. I always hate that cruel trap. Can’t they make more safer trap that don’t hurt?

      Aww thanks! When I was doing my research for this page I did see some new types that don’t have the jagged edges, rather it’s just a flat edge. Unfortunately it probably still hurt a lot and the animal may opt to chew it’s limbs off to get away.

    To paraphrase the lyrics from the finale of “Jekyll and Hyde”

    As a brother of an animal pharmacist, and the owner of an adopted Russian Blue (who is currently doing her imitation of a fur stole around my neck) I can say I abhor traps like those shown here. But that just makes me sympathize with Fleance more despite [REDACTED] as it it shown to be later in the story. That said, I can’t begin to imagine PTSD that Fleance is going through.

    Also, the fact that Edgar can literally kiss Fleance’s pain away is so symbolic and utterly poetic on so many levels (It’s right up there with Maleficent levels of symbolism of a kiss imho), plus Edgar’s level of devotion to Fleance, that I am almost sorry that Edgar is eventually [REDACTED].

    By the by, I archive binged the entire original strip yesterday. And I must say I really am finding this story rather refreshing, as it is not the standard BL stories I normally see. so keep on churning these pages out. Your story is awesome.

      OMG that must have taken so long!! And I’m glad you enjoyed the rough draft! But I must warn that a lot of the things got taken out and some of the things are changed.. hope it won’t be confusing ^^;;;
